SuPeRBE: Supporting Cross-scale Planning and Policy readiness for a Resilient Built Environment

Central European regions are already experiencing a rapid growth in the incidence and severity of extreme events due to climate change. There is a growing recognition that action is needed not just to mitigate the contribution to climate change, but also to adapt to the impacts that we can expect to see now and in the future. The capacity to act is the basis for reaching climate change adaptation.

The overall objective of SuPeRBE is to improve the capacity to act of local and regional public authorities in defining, implementing and evaluating climate change adaptation measures for the central European built environment. SuPeRBE proposes an innovative integrated approach in capacity building targeted to public authorities and local stakeholders.
