Cities play a major role in the joint challenge of achieving the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. New sustainable approach to spatial planning and management of Mediterranean cities is necessary, offering longer-term sustainable solutions. The Sustainable MED Cities project provides innovative tools and methodologies, useful to enhance the decision-making and planning processes of local authorities. The project will also deliver innovative capacity-building programmes for technicians and decision-makers of Mediterranean cities to step up their capacity to drive the urban regeneration.
